On 16 May, a movie Minsk, an Estonian production, could be seen at the National Museum of Arts in Bucharest. The screening was supported by the embassy.
The film portrays a single evening of a couple, during the protests in Belarus after the 2020 elections.
People had in 2020 a hope to change Belarus into a democratic European state. One day they will be successful and this film helps sustain that energy and hope.
Political prisoners and those exiled need to know their sacrifice was not in vain and belarusians efforts toward democracy won’t be forgotten.
